Racer Profiles

Your racer profile is your permanent racing identity on Adrenaline. Created automatically when you register for your first event, it tracks your complete race history, equipment, ratings, and achievements. Profiles are publicly shareable via a permanent URL based on your number and name.

What is a Racer Profile?

A racer profile is your comprehensive racing resume within Adrenaline. It's automatically created when you register for your first event and grows with you throughout your racing career. Your profile includes race results, equipment, ratings, and more—all accessible via a permanent, shareable URL.

Profile URL Format

adrenaline.mx/racer/[number]/[lastname]/[firstname]

Example: adrenaline.mx/racer/42/smith/john

This URL is permanent and can be shared with sponsors, fans, and other racers. It's based on your primary number plate and name.

Profile Components

Your racer profile displays comprehensive information about your racing career:

How Profiles Are Created

Automatic Creation

You don't create a profile manually. It's generated automatically when you:

  1. Create an Adrenaline account
  2. Register for your first event (online pre-registration or day-of registration)
  3. Provide your name, number plate, and bike details

Adrenaline uses this information to create your profile at a permanent URL based on your number and name.

One Profile Per Racer

Each racer has one profile URL. If you register for multiple events, all results feed into the same profile. Your profile grows over time as you compete in more races.

Multiple Profiles Per Account

One account can manage multiple racer profiles. This is useful for parents managing kids' profiles or teams managing multiple riders.

Managing Your Profile

Access your profile manager from your account dashboard to edit and customize your profile:

Edit Profile URL

Change your profile URL if you:

  • Change your racing number
  • Change your last name (marriage, legal name change, etc.)
  • Need to correct a typo from initial registration

Warning: Changing your URL may break existing links others have saved. Redirects are preserved when possible.

Add or Remove Machines

Manage the bikes listed on your profile:

  1. Go to your profile manager (click "Edit" from your profile page)
  2. Scroll to the "Machines" section
  3. Click "Add Machine" to add a new bike
  4. Enter number plate, make, model, and specifications

Each bike appears with detailed specs. Race results automatically link to the bike you registered for that event.

Upload Sponsor Logos

Premium subscribers can add sponsor logos:

  1. Access the "Partners & Sponsors" section in profile manager
  2. Click "Add Sponsor"
  3. Upload logo image and enter sponsor name/website
  4. Logos display prominently on your public profile

View Subscription Options

See available subscription tiers and features from the profile manager. Subscriptions unlock sponsor logos, enhanced analytics, AI vision tools, and more.

Share Your Profile

Your profile manager includes sharing tools:

  • Copy your profile URL to share on social media
  • Download or display your QR code for easy scanning
  • Embed your profile link in email signatures or websites

Profile Visibility & Privacy

Racer profiles have flexible privacy settings. You can control who sees your profile and race history.

ℹ️ Default Privacy Settings

When your racer profile is created, the default privacy setting depends on your age:

  • Under 16 years old: Profile defaults to Private for safety and protection
  • 16 years or older: Profile defaults to Public for discoverability

You can change your privacy setting at any time from your profile manager, regardless of age.

Privacy Levels

You can set your profile to one of three privacy levels:

  • Public: Visible to anyone, appears in search results and popularity lists
  • Unlisted: Shareable via link, hidden from search and discovery
  • Private: Invisible to everyone except you (requires login)

Learn more about privacy settings →

Public Profiles (Default for 16+)

Public profiles allow sponsors, fans, and other racers to find and follow you. Your profile appears in search results and popularity rankings.

Private Profiles (Default for Under 16)

Private profiles are only visible to you when logged in. Your profile won't appear in search results or be accessible to others, providing maximum privacy and safety.

Private Ratings (Below 1200)

Ratings below 1200 are hidden from public view to protect beginners. You can see your own rating, but others cannot until you reach 1200+.

Equipment Tracking Opt-In

Equipment recognition (Early Access) is opt-in. You can enable/disable it and control visibility of recognized gear.

Sponsor Visibility

You control which sponsors appear on your profile. Add or remove sponsor logos anytime from the profile manager.

Race Results in Sanctioned Events

Official race results from sanctioned events remain public for transparency and rating system integrity, even if your profile is private. This ensures fair competition and prevents rating manipulation.

Why public profiles matter: Public profiles enable sponsor discovery, fan engagement, and transparent competition history. Brands can find riders loyal to their products, fans can follow their favorite racers, and the racing community benefits from open data. However, we respect your right to privacy—especially for minors—which is why profiles for riders under 16 default to private.

Following & Followers

Following Other Racers

Click the "Follow" button on any racer's profile to track their results and upcoming races. Following helps you discover when riders you care about are competing.

Your Followers

Your follower count is public and appears on your profile. Higher follower counts can attract sponsors and demonstrate fan engagement.

Follower Notifications

Followers may receive notifications when you register for events or achieve notable results (depending on their notification settings).

Cannot Block Followers

Since profiles are public, anyone can follow you. There's no blocking mechanism—following is a one-way action that doesn't require permission.

Profile URL Changes

Your profile URL is based on your number plate and name. Here's how URL changes work:

Editing Your URL

From the profile manager, click the edit icon next to your profile URL. You'll be able to change:

  • Number plate
  • Last name
  • First name

You must acknowledge that changing your URL may break existing links before the change is saved.

Redirect Preservation

Adrenaline attempts to preserve redirects from your old URL to your new URL. However, some links (especially those saved in browsers or shared externally) may not resolve after a URL change.

When to Change Your URL

  • Number change: If you switch to a new permanent racing number
  • Name change: Marriage, legal name change, or correcting a registration error
  • Typo correction: Fixing misspelled names from initial registration

When NOT to Change Your URL

  • Temporary number: If you only use a different number for one event, don't change your permanent URL
  • Nickname preference: URLs should use legal names, not nicknames
  • Aesthetic reasons: Avoid changing URLs just because you don't like the format

Best Practices

  • Use your real name: Profiles are official racing records. Always use your legal first and last name.
  • Keep your number consistent: Frequent number changes can fragment your race history and confuse followers.
  • Complete machine details: Fill in accurate bike specs. It helps with class eligibility and looks more professional.
  • Share your profile URL: Add it to social media bios, email signatures, and sponsor proposals.
  • Print your QR code: Put it on your bike, helmet, or trailer for easy scanning at events.
  • Update sponsor logos: Keep sponsor section current to accurately reflect partnerships.
  • Check upcoming races: Review your profile regularly to ensure registrations are correct.
  • Monitor follower growth: Follower count is a metric sponsors care about—engage with fans to grow your following.

Common Questions

How do I create a racer profile?

You don't create it manually. It's automatically generated when you register for your first event. Just sign up for a race and your profile is created.

Can I have multiple profiles?

One racer = one profile. However, one account can manage multiple racer profiles (e.g., parent managing kids). Each racer has their own unique profile URL.

Can I make my profile private?

Yes! You can set your profile to Private, Unlisted, or Public from your profile manager. Profiles for riders under 16 default to Private for safety. Riders 16+ default to Public but can change this anytime. Learn more about privacy settings.

What if someone else has my number?

Number plates aren't globally unique. Multiple racers can use the same number. Profiles are identified by number + last name + first name, so conflicts are rare.

Can I delete my profile?

Contact support to request profile deletion. Note that race results may still display your name/number in event histories for record-keeping purposes.

Why isn't my rating showing?

Ratings below 1200 are private by default. Compete in more races to raise your rating above 1200, or upgrade to a subscription that allows public display of lower ratings.

How do I add sponsors to my profile?

Sponsor logos require a subscription. Once subscribed, go to your profile manager and use the "Partners & Sponsors" section to upload logos with names and websites.

Can I edit past race results?

No. Race results are locked by event officials after finalization. If there's an error, contact the event organizer to request a correction.

What's the difference between my account and my profile?

Your account is your login to Adrenaline (email/password). Your profile is your public racing identity (name, number, results). One account can manage multiple racer profiles.
