Event Registration
How do I register for an event?
- Find the event on Adrenaline (browse events or use direct link from organizer)
- Click "Register" button
- Select your class(es)
- Provide rider info, machine details, emergency contact
- Submit and pay (if applicable)
- Check email for confirmation
Can I register for multiple classes?
Yes! During registration, you can select multiple classes. Each class you register for may have its own entry fee.
Can I change my registration after submitting?
It depends on the event settings. Some organizers allow self-service edits before the deadline, others require you to contact the organizer. Check your registration confirmation email for edit links or contact the event organizer.
What if I miss the online registration deadline?
Contact the event organizer. Many events allow day-of registration at the track through "Officiate Registration" (sign-up at check-in table).
Do I need to bring anything to check-in?
Typically:
- Photo ID (driver's license)
- Registration confirmation (email or screenshot)
- Proof of insurance if required by event
- Payment if not paid online
- Signed waiver if not completed online
Check event-specific requirements in your confirmation email.
Timing & Race Control
What is AI Vision assistance?
AI Vision uses cameras and computer vision to detect riders crossing the finish line. It's a backup/redundancy to manual or automated timing or for events. Cameras capture the finish line, AI detects crossings, Race Control shows both automated and AI Vision detections. All AI Vision assistance data is available to the spectator using the camera button next to each crossing.
What if multiple timing systems disagree?
Race Control shows all sources, if one source is out of sync it makes it clear on the race crossing order. The timer/official reviews and manually confirms the correct order using the Crossing Order Editor. Think of automated timing and AI Vision as redundant data sources—human verification is still the final authority.
Can I use traditional transponders/RFID?
Yes. Adrenaline supports multiple existing transponder and RFID systems for users who already have them, but we don't sell or recommend new installations. Contact support for any issues with system integration.
What is stopwatch/manual timing?
Stopwatch timing is for events without automated timing or cameras. The timer taps the crossing button or uses keyboard shortcuts to record crossings in real-time (Alt+Enter for gate drop, Spacebar for each crossing). The Crossing Order Editor lets you fix mistakes afterward.
Rider Profiles & Ratings
How do I create a rider profile?
Rider profiles are created automatically when you register for your first event. No manual setup needed! After your first registration, you'll have a profile at adrenaline.mx/racer/[number]/[last]/[first].
What is an Elo rating?
Elo is a skill rating system (like chess rankings). You gain rating points by beating higher-rated riders and lose points by losing to lower-rated riders. Ratings are discipline-specific (MX, SX, Endurocross, etc.) and updated after each sanctioned race.
Do all races affect my rating?
No. Only sanctioned races affect Elo ratings. Sanctioning ensures fair competition and prevents rating manipulation. Practice races, fun races, and non-sanctioned events don't change your rating.
How do I add sponsor logos to my profile?
Sponsor logos require a "Rated Account" subscription. Once subscribed, go to your profile → "Edit Profile" → "Sponsors" → upload logos. Logos appear on your public profile for as long as your subscription is active.
Can I have multiple machines on my profile?
Yes! Add as many machines as you want (different bikes for different classes, backup bikes, etc.). Each machine has its own number plate. You choose which machine to use when registering for an event.
How do I customize my profile URL?
Go to your profile → "Edit Profile" → "Custom URL". Change your first name, last name, or number to update the URL. URLs are public and permanent once set, so choose carefully!
Can I follow other riders?
Yes! Click "Follow" on any rider's profile to see their upcoming races, recent results, and rating changes in your feed. Great for keeping track of rivals, teammates, or favorite pro riders.
Track Development
What is TrackLang?
TrackLang is Adrenaline's declarative language for defining tracks in code. Write code to describe your track's layout, timing zones, cameras, etc. The Track Developer renders it in 3D in real-time. Think of it like HTML for race tracks!
Do I need programming experience to use TrackLang?
Not necessarily. Start with pre-built templates for common track types (MX, SX, flat track), then customize GPS coordinates and measurements. The syntax is straightforward. Coding experience helps for complex tracks, but templates make it accessible to everyone.
Can I test my track before using it in a real event?
Yes! Use "Ad-Hoc Races" in Track Developer to test your track with friends on mobile. Verify timing zones work correctly, camera angles are good, etc. Always test before a live event!
Can I fork/copy someone else's track?
Yes, if the track is marked "Public." Click "Fork" on any public track to create your own copy. Modify it as needed—your fork is completely independent. Great for creating variations of existing tracks!
What happens if I break my track code?
Version control has your back! Every "Run" creates a build version, every "Save" creates a minor version. Version history is immutable—you can always revert to any previous version. Can't permanently break anything!
Can multiple people work on the same track?
Yes! Invite team members to a track. All team members can edit, run, and save versions. Version history shows who made each change. Last save wins (like Google Docs when offline).
Event Organization
How do I create an event?
- Log in to your organizer account
- Click "Create Event"
- Fill in event details (name, date, location, track)
- Add classes (use templates or create custom)
- Configure registration settings (online reg, deadlines, fees)
- Set up race format and schedule
- Publish when ready!
What are class templates?
Pre-built class structures for common race formats (AMA-style classes, beginner/intermediate/advanced, etc.). Load a template instead of manually creating 10+ classes. Saves tons of time for standard events!
Can I run a series/championship across multiple events?
Yes! Create a "Series" and link multiple events to it. Adrenaline calculates combined points standings across all events in the series. Great for season championships!
How do I reorder races or group classes together?
Use "Ordering & Grouping" in event management. Drag-and-drop races to change run order. Group multiple classes into a single race (e.g., combine Beginner and Intermediate for insufficient entries).
Can I limit class capacity?
Yes! Set max riders per class during event setup. Registration automatically closes when capacity is reached. Riders see "Class Full" message if they try to register late.
How do I generate post-event reports?
After the event completes, go to Event Reports. Export results as PDF, CSV, or print-friendly format. Includes race results, overall standings, awards, AMA submission data (if applicable), etc.
Live Results & Spectator Experience
Can spectators see live results without an account?
Yes! Event pages and live results are public. Spectators can watch races unfold in real-time, see lap times, current positions, etc. No account or app needed—just a web browser.
What's the difference between Officiate and Spectator views?
Officiate View: Full Race Control access—edit results, fix crossings, manage races, see all data. Requires login and event permissions.
Spectator View: Public, read-only view of live results. No editing, no sensitive data. Anyone can view.
Can I share live results on social media?
Yes! Every event and race has a unique URL. Share the event page link on Facebook, Instagram, etc. Followers can watch live results from anywhere.
Do live results update automatically?
Yes! Results update in real-time as crossings are detected (Transponders, RFID, AI Vision, or manual stopwatch). No need to refresh the page—changes appear instantly via live connection.
Billing & Subscriptions
How much does a Rated Account subscription cost?
Pricing is TBD. During this promotional period, all new accounts are given a rated subscription for free. Check the "Upgrade" page in your profile for current pricing. Subscriptions are typically monthly or seasonal.
What happens when my subscription expires?
Premium features (rating updates, sponsor logos, detailed analytics, customization) are disabled. Your rating and race history remain intact, but your rating will not be visible to the public until you resubscribe. Sponsor logos hidden until you resubscribe.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes! Cancel from your account settings. You'll retain premium features until the end of your billing period, then revert to free tier.
Do event organizers pay per event or subscription?
Organizers have flexible pricing: pay-per-class-entry for unlimited events. Contact sales for organization pricing details.
Privacy & Data
Can I make my profile private?
Profiles are public by default (name, ratings, race history). Yes you can make your profile private using the privacy selector, no subscription required. Contact support if you are having issues setting privacy. We understand that some riders need privacy for safety reasons. Note: Race results for sanctioned events remain public for rating system integrity.
What is Equipment Tracking and who can see it?
Equipment Tracking is an Early Access feature using computer vision to identify your bike/gear from race footage. Only you and brands you authorize can see your equipment data. Riders control visibility—opt-in only.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Contact support to request account deletion. Race results remain in event history for record-keeping, but your profile and personal data are removed.
