Riders: Getting Started
Welcome to Adrenaline! Getting started as a rider is simple—create an account, register for an event, and you'll automatically have a racer profile you can use and upgrade. Your profile tracks your results, displays your equipment, and becomes your permanent racing identity across all Adrenaline events.
Quick Start: Create Your Profile
Unlike traditional systems that require complex setup, Adrenaline creates your racer profile automatically when you register for your first event. Here's how it works:
Step 1: Create an Account
Visit adrenaline.mx/login and create your account using:
- Google Sign-In (recommended)
- Email and password
Your account is separate from your racer profile. One account can manage multiple racer profiles (useful for parents managing kids' profiles).
Step 2: Register for an Event
Find an event and go through online registration. During registration, you'll provide:
- Your name (First and Last)
- Number plate (the number on your bike)
- Machine details (Make, Model, Displacement)
- Classes you want to race in
- Date of birth and gender (for age-based classes)
This information creates your racer profile automatically. You don't need to set anything up separately.
Step 3: Your Profile is Created!
Once you've registered for an event, Adrenaline creates your racer profile at a permanent URL:
Example: If you're rider #42, John Smith, your profile is at adrenaline.mx/racer/42/smith/john
That's it! No separate profile creation step. Register for an event, and your racing identity is established. Your profile grows automatically as you compete in more races.
What Your Profile Includes
Your racer profile is your permanent racing identity. Here's what it displays:
Number Plate & Name
Your primary number plate (usually the first bike you registered) and full name displayed prominently.
Racer Rating (Elo)
Your skill rating calculated across races. Ratings above 1200 are publicly visible. Lower ratings are private until you improve.
Upcoming Races
All future events you're registered for, with classes and dates.
Past Races (Career History)
Complete race history with results, lap times, and finishing positions. Non-sanctioned races (like Basic Races) are marked separately.
Machines
All bikes you've registered, with detailed specs: make, model, displacement, wheelbase, seat height, etc.
Sponsors (Upgradeable)
Add sponsor logos to your profile (requires subscription upgrade). Great for showcasing brand support.
QR Code
A scannable QR code that links directly to your profile. Perfect for sharing with fans, sponsors, or other racers.
Follow Button
Others can follow your profile to track your progress and get notified about your races.
Using Your Profile
Access Your Profile
Two ways to view your profile:
- From your Account Dashboard: Click on your account menu and select "Racer Profiles"
- Direct URL: Go to
adrenaline.mx/racer/[number]/[lastname]/[firstname]
Share Your Profile
Your profile URL is permanent and shareable. Use it to:
- Link from social media bios (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
- Share with sponsors to show your race history
- Give to friends and family so they can follow your results
- Print the QR code on your bike or gear
Edit Your Profile URL
You can change your profile URL from the profile manager if you:
- Change your racing number
- Change your last name (marriage, etc.)
- Want to correct a typo
Warning: Changing your URL may break existing links. Adrenaline preserves redirects when possible.
Add Multiple Machines
Race different bikes? Add them all to your profile:
- Go to your profile manager (click "Edit" on your profile)
- Scroll to the "Machines" section
- Click "Add Machine"
- Enter the number plate, make, model, and specs
Each bike you race will appear in your profile with its own stats and specs.
Registering for Events
Once you have a profile, registering for future events is easier:
Online Registration
Most events allow online pre-registration. Your name, number, and bike info auto-fill from your profile, saving time.
Day-of Registration (Officiate Mode)
For events allowing same-day registration, officials can look you up by number or name and add you quickly.
QR Code Registration
Some events (like Basic Races) let you join by scanning a QR code at the track. Your profile links automatically.
Upgrading Your Profile
Basic profiles are free. Upgrade with a subscription to unlock:
Sponsor Logos
Upload sponsor logos to display on your profile. Great for showing brand support and attracting new sponsors.
Enhanced Analytics
Detailed lap time analysis, position changes, and performance trends across races.
AI Vision Assist Tools
Access to advanced scoring tools if you officiate races.
Public Rating Display
Make your Elo rating public even if it's below 1200 (normally hidden until you reach 1200).
Subscription options and pricing are managed through your account settings. Visit your profile manager to see upgrade options.
Understanding Ratings
Adrenaline uses an Elo rating system to track skill progression:
How Ratings Work
You start at 1200. Beating higher-rated riders increases your rating more. Losing to lower-rated riders decreases it more.
Public vs. Private Ratings
Ratings above 1200 are public. Below 1200, they're private (you can see them, others cannot). This protects beginners while they're improving.
Non-Sanctioned Races
Practice sessions and Basic Races are marked as "non-sanctioned" and don't affect your rating. They're for training and fun.
Per-Discipline Ratings
Ratings are tracked per discipline (Motocross, Supercross, etc.). Your MX rating doesn't affect your SX rating.
Best Practices
- Use your real name: Your profile is your permanent racing identity. Use your actual first and last name.
- Keep your number consistent: Changing numbers frequently can fragment your race history.
- Update machine details: Accurate bike specs help with class eligibility and make your profile more impressive.
- Share your profile URL: Put it in your social media bios so sponsors and fans can find you easily.
- Check upcoming races: Your profile shows all events you're registered for. Review it to avoid missing races.
- Review past results: Use your career history to track improvement and identify areas to focus on.
- Register early: Online pre-registration often has discounts and ensures your spot in the event.
Common Questions
Do I need an account to register for events?
Yes. You need an Adrenaline account to register for events. Create one at adrenaline.mx/login.
Can one account have multiple racer profiles?
Yes! Parents can manage multiple kids' profiles from one account. Each racer gets their own profile URL and history.
What if I change my racing number?
You can edit your profile URL to reflect your new number. Go to your profile manager and click the edit button. Past results remain linked to your profile.
Can I delete my profile?
Contact support to request profile deletion. Note that race results may still display your name/number for historical accuracy.
Why isn't my rating showing?
Ratings below 1200 are private by default. Compete in more races to raise your rating above 1200, or upgrade your subscription to make it public.
How do I add sponsors to my profile?
Sponsor logos require a subscription upgrade. Once subscribed, visit your profile manager and use the "Partners & Sponsors" section to upload logos.
Can I race without a profile?
No. Registering for an event automatically creates your profile. It's how Adrenaline tracks results and ensures accurate race history.
What happens if someone else has my number?
Number plates are not globally unique. Multiple racers can use the same number. Your profile is identified by the combination of number + last name + first name.
