Ordering and Grouping

Managing the flow of your event involves two key concepts: Ordering and Grouping. While your event templates provide a starting point, the specific organization of races is handled directly within each event.

Class Order vs. Grouping

It is important to distinguish between the sequence of classes and how they are grouped on the track:

  • Order: The sequence in which races occur (e.g., Race 1, Race 2, Race 3). This is initially established by your Event Template.
  • Grouping: Combining multiple classes into a single race slot (e.g., 250 B and 250 C racing together in Race 4). This is configured only at the event level and cannot be pre-configured in templates.

Reordering Classes

You can change the order of races at any time before racing begins.

  1. Navigate to the Race Order section of your event dashboard.
  2. Click the Reorder button to open the reordering tool.
  3. Drag and drop the class rows to your desired sequence.
  4. Click Save to apply the new order.

Grouping Classes

Grouping allows multiple classes to share the track while being scored separately. This is useful for combining smaller classes to save time.

  1. Open the Reorder tool.
  2. Locate the class you wish to move into a group.
  3. Click the three-dot menu icon on that class row.
  4. Select Group from the menu.
  5. In the popup window, select the target race slot you want to group this class with.
  6. Click Group to confirm.

Grouped classes will appear in the same race slot but will have separate gate drops (denoted by A, B, etc.).

Ungrouping Classes

To separate a class from a group:

  1. Open the Reorder tool.
  2. Find the grouped race slot.
  3. Click the three-dot menu.
  4. Select Ungroup to separate the classes back into individual race slots.
